Audio recorder is part of the Video recorder. It only works on Windows with headset/earpones connected to the PC audio output and Stereo Mix correctly set up.

Settings - Recorder - Audio - Record system audio / Record microphone
Settings
Settings - Recorder - Audio - Volume boosts
- Volume boost can be applied on the audio recordings. Make sure to test this and find the suitable boost values for yourself as this may differ on computers.
Settings - Recorder - Recordings path
- The same path is used for audio and video recordings.
