Install Java

Exilent currently works only with Java 8.

Default Java version

There can be several Java versions installed on a computer at the same time. When you double click a JAR file it will be executed on the Java version which is set as default.

In order to run Exilent you have to make sure you have Java 8 set as default.

Verify your default Java version

Ther are are several ways to do it. https://www.java.com/en/download/help/version_manual.xml

Windows

Open up a terminal.

  • Start - Command Prompt

Type: java -version

The default Java version will be printed out. 1.8.0_xxx is Java 8.
