Audio recorder is part of the Video recorder. It only works on Windows with Stereo Mix correctly set up.
Audio recordings (microphone and system) and video recordings are separated in files.

Settings - Recorder - Audio - Record system audio / Record microphone

Volume boost can be applied on the audio recordings. Make sure to test this and find the suitable boost values for yourself as this may differ on computers.

The same path is used for audio and video recordings.
